On tap at Luigi Pizza, Bratislava. It’s slightly better pilsner than other big players, nevertheless it’s still mass production and you will notice that. On the other hand, it won’t disappoint you if you are just thirsty.

Clear, golden colored, medium- white head. Aroma is of some malt, grainy, some herbal grassy hops. Taste is medium- sweet malt, grainy, bit butter, medium bitterness, moderate- herbal noble hops, some metallic notes, dryish finish. Light+ bodied, average carbonation, bit watery.

Boca 0,5L - nema se puno šta pisati o pilsneru kao i o lageru...osjeti se ječam u okusu također i nekakav metalni okus...ništa specijalno a opet nije ni loše...

Well well well, I had no idea I hadn’t rated this before. Either one of my ratings got "lost" somehow or I’ve managed to completely ignore this. Oh well, here it is, marketing sample from Heineken Hrvatska. Golden body, lively carbonation, big white head with medium retention. Actually looking good. The aroma does actually seem a bit "retro" compared to the regular industrial lagers of today, a mix between bready maltiness, herbal hoppiness and a metallic touch. Eggy taste, herbal, metallic again, ends slightly watery and bitterish. Dunno, a solid industrial lager, better than most imported swill. Tastes geniune at times, at others a bit limp, but hey. You can do much worse. Edit: The dryness actually slightly takes over and with the bitterness and the maltiness being too tame to balance it, it gets slightly harder to drink and with the limpness, less impressive. But still above average in the industrial lager segment here in Croatia.

To sam tada pripisao toj plastičnoj čaši i laganoj kišici. No, nakon par tjedana sam našao isto pivo u Plodinama. Onaj dobro upamćeni ogavni okus se opet pokazao. Totalno metalni okus, smrad po vlažnom kartonu, ma užas. Idem viditi tko uopće puni to pivo i vidim Karlovačka pivovara. Pa što oni stvarno nisu u stanju više napraviti pivo koje se može piti??? Vjerujem da originalna Krušovica puno normalnije izgleda. Grrrr

Bottle, 0.5l. Clear golden pour with two finger creamy white. Average head retention. Nose is malty with slight herbal notes and shy hops lurking in the background. Unpleasant touch of wet hay, corn and cardboard. Thin body with average carbonation and texture. Strong unpleasant metallic bitternes. Aroma is mostly grainy, slightly malty. Corn. Grass, hay, cardboard, lots of metal. Traces of hops in the aftertaste, but overpowered by strong metallic acidity. Bitter finish, very unpleasant. Couldn’t finish the bottle.

A couple of 50 cl cans. Can is labeled ’Světlė’, 4.2 % alcohol. Clear, golden colour with a thin, white head. Sweet aroma with pale malts, grasses and butterish notes. Taste is bitter. Medium body with a creamy texture and an average carbonation. Finishes dry and bitter with hay and butter notes. Nice Czech pils.
