Bottle labeled Commemorative Ale 2008. Pours cloudy caramel color with huge off white head. Aromas of corriander, orange and cinnamon. Wheat flavor with lots of spices. Sweet fruit, corriander and cinnamon. Medium body with effervescent carbonation.

Bottled. An unclear amber beer with a light sediment floating around under a lazing light tan head. The aroma is sweet and acidic with notes of malt and citrus. The flavor is sweet malty combined with citrusy notes, leading to a dry bitter finish. Thanks Papsoe for sharing.

Pours hazy orange – brown with tall big bubbled tan head. The aroma has herbal notes to go along with pine hops and some sticky sweet maltiness. The full force carbonation punctuates the tasty citrus hops, spicy hops and light colored fruity esters at first. Then notes of pine hop bitterness and hints of citrus hops round things out. Very tasty with tangy bright flavors.

Courtesy of cigarcitybrew. Pours hazy brown, off white head. Aroma, had the signature Hitachino aroma., with plenty of nice added spices.Close to one of the Belgian winter warmers. Taste, yeasty, filed with nice spices, fruity orange and citrus notes, reminded me a lot of the typical Hitachino taste with added malts and the Hitachino twist that makes this one a nice little gem.

Bottle. 2004 Bottle. Caramel colored beer with a big dark-cream colored head. Spice, caramel aroma with cinnamon and vanilla. Caramel, sherry flavor with light orange, spice, and cinnamon. Medium bodied. Lingering caramel, light sherry, light orange, and spice. Nice oxidation - sherry notes adding to complexity.

Bottle 2004 pours out a hazy amber topped with a san head. Aroma of spice and sweetness. Tast of bread malts and more odd spice. So So

11.2 bottle Lukas Kansas City, MO. 2006 Vintage. Pour is a murky orange brown with a fast developing two inch tan head. Head is firm and lasting. Aroma is soft floral, lavender, coriander and some soft lemon citrus notes. I also get clove and cinnamon. Smells like a holiday candle, only softer. Its a very inviting nose. Taste is big on the nutmeg initially, then turns to the citrus bitterness and then finishes with the various spices, most notably cinnamon. The aftertaste is the sweet vanilla - really nice natural vanilla sweetness, also very soft. There is almost too much going on for me in this beer, really a ton of spices. Don’t get me wrong, its enjoyable, and well integrated, just a real onslaught of holiday spices. Palate is right for the variety of flavors, medium to full. This was a nice one.

Poured a deep cloudy amber color ale with a nice off-white foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of nutmeg and cinnamon is well balance with the sweet caramel malt profile. Taste is a mix between some deep caramel malt with loads of spices which may includes cinnamon and nutmeg. Body is full and beer is very rich with no apparent alcohol and some good carbonation. I very much enjoy this one even though it is quite filling and wouldn’t drink more then one at a time. I ma starting to really enjoy beer from this brewery and looking forward to more discovery.

Deep brown body with mahogany highlights. Big caramel and molassas aroma, with some rum soaked fruit and lots of spice. Lots of spice flavor, more caramel and molassas, and vanilla shining through. Medium body with moderate carbonation and a bit of alcohol on the finish.
