Full bodied beer with sweet wheat flavor and beautiful dense foam top. It has a pleasant bitterness and unique spicy aroma with Orange Peel, Coriander, Nutmeg, Cinnamon, and Vanilla Beans. Complex yet soothing.

Bottled as commemorative ale 2014. Orangey brown pour, hops, orange peel, spice and some rye notes. Pretty good.

Bottle. Best Japanese beer I’ve had to date. Slightly sweet flavor. It has a pleasant spicy aroma that smells just like the description "Orange Peel, Coriander, Nutmeg, Cinnamon, and Vanilla Beans". Highly recommended.

Tap at JBT fest. Golden brown colour. Taste is sweet, ginger biscuits. Nice and hides the booze well. Bit of Belgian yeastiness. Aroma quite nice. Yeasty, malty. Easy drinking.

Tap. Reddish-amber color, weak foam. Strange aroma: spicy, herbaceous, butter, a little rice vinegar, dill and pickles, fruity. Taste: spicy, cardamom, fruity, dill and light vinegar with butter, cucumber pickle, wine.

330ml bottle from RusBeerShop in Moscow as Hitachino Nest Commemorative Ale 2018, 8%. Pours hazy amber with a tall off-white head. Aroma is bananas, nutmeg, toffee. Taste is light sweet, wheat, cinnamon, bananas, with a light spicy finish. Reminded me of a weizenbock.

330ml bottle at 8%, as Hitachino Nest Commemorative Ale. Hazy amber with a beige head, dissipating. Aroma of bready malts, spices, cinnamon, nutmeg, vanilla, fruits. Taste of bready malt, sweet, vanilla, spices, cinnamon, nutmeg, coriander, ripe fruits. Medium bodied, soft carbonation. Interesting beer, sweet and spicy isn't really my thing though as I felt the flavours clashed a bit but seemed fairly good I suppose.

Thin off white head soon left a cover on a hazy, walnut coloured, slightly effervescent body. Barley Wine aroma with malt, hops, treacle & honey. Medium to full bodied, thick & cloying on the palate with minimal carbonation. Heavily spiced tastes of Christmas spice, nutmeg, over ripe grape, cinamon & honey.

330 ml bottle. (Commemorative Ale, 8% ABV) Pours a hazy orange with an average, frothy, long lasting, off-white head that laces. Sweet, spicy aroma of nutmeg, coriander, cinnamon, yeast, orange and malt. Sweet, creamy orange flavour with subtle, spicy notes of coriander, nutmeg, cinnamon, vanilla, yeast, alcohol and a dry, bitter, hoppy finish. Medium body with an oily texture and soft carbonation. Quite unique.

Bernsteinfarben im Glas, Schaum perlt gleich weg. Schönes Malzaroma, leicht fruchtig. Geschmacklich sehr intensiv, alkoholisch, im Abgang leicht Zimt. Respekt, Japan kann Bier brauen.
