33cl bottle, label says 5.7%. Bottled on 17/05/2013. Huuge gusher, some of it went down the sink, mansges to save 2/3 of the bottle. 15 minutes later... Black colored, thick light brown head. Hmm, aroma is very similar to many De Molen stouts I have tried. Coffee, mocha, roastedness, yeast. Flavor has coffee, chocolate, licorice, yeast. Very smooth as the foam finally settles and the most of the carbonation out of the way. Quite thin though.

Bottle at home from sourced market? Aroma is woody, earthy, oak and hint of whiskey. Some hint of berries and chocolate in the nose as well. Opaque dark amber coloured pour with a thin lasting greyish tan head. Flavour is sweet caramel, berry, and ashy roast. Thinnish palate with finish that just disappears and leaves an ashy taste. Not a great deal to this one. Disappointing.

330ml Bottle at Les Crêpes de Sophie in Shrewsbury on 19th Dec 13. Huge head came at me as I tried to pour the beer into a stemmed tulip: tan coloured foam on a dark, dark brown body that took a long time to settle, looked good once it had calmed down. Malts all over the place: slightly over roasted with ground coffee and dark bitter chocolate in both the aroma and taste. A good all round Porter with enough flavour to keep you interested and test your taste buds. The body sat nicely within the overall package and hid the alcohol with ease, very pleasant indeed.

Bottle sample at a tasting at Beer Market Jaffa. Thanks Ariel. Opens with a gusher. Brown-colored with a huge bubbly beige head. Roasty aroma with coffee, slightly acidic. Roasty flav or, a bit of sweetish and slightly acidic, with a light fruity note and some bitterness in the finish. Medium-bodied, a bit over-carbonated.
