Handpump @Luppolo Station (Rome). Pours deep amber/reddish with a medium off-white head. Aroma of smoked meat and caramel, bread crust, sugary notes. Flavour is rich, malty, medium sweet balanced with a nice bitterness and a good smoked note. Medium body, soft carbonation. A very nice beer, definitely underrated!

375ml design bottle, lotto 58, bought in March 2012 at Johnny’s Off License in Roma. Shared with Finn. Crocheted lacing from a crystal clear amber coloured body. Fawn-coloured head that stayed well. Caramel, nuts and bread on the nose. Malt-accented taste profile of caramel, chocolate and nuts, mid-sweet. Drying ending, hints of dried fruit. Well bodied. Pleasing to a certain degree (Tromsø 05.11.2015).

Flaske 330ml. Spandert av Rune og delt under en sesjon hos ham 5 Nov 15. Mørk amber. Middels høyt luftig skum. Spotlacing. Svak røykaroma. Hint av lær. Smaken litt tung. Mørke frukter etter hvert. Blir i søtligste laget.

0.375l bottle from Lot 76, shared with The Tasting Crew. It has lots of eye-floaters this one, as good as clear looking red-amber colored with a bubbly and big sidesticking white head. Really smoky aroma. Not typical Barleywine nose really as it's quite mild and a tad weird. Almost a little flourish as well. It's soft, really soft on the bubbles this and it has a gliding oily mouthfeel. Again, light smoked in the taste with traces of dried fruits and red grapes. Quickly forgettable really. 19.02.2014

19.02.2014, 0,375l bottle sampled @ BBGTC tasting:
Nice creamy mediumlasting head. Aroma is slightly neutral, dried fruits, caramel malts, hay, grass, hints of peat. Taste is slightly harsh, hay, harsh grass, dried fruits, caramel malts, almond essence, soil, hints of smoke. Little bitterness, watery mouthfeel. Meh!

(Bottle) Dark amber colour, slightly hazy, with dense beige head. Fruity, slightly smoky nose with notes of dried fruit, rye bread, apricots, caramel and hints of smoke and peat. Malty, fruity taste with rye bread, apricots, dried fruit, candy sugar, peat and hints of smoked tea. Balanced spicy bitterness. More than medium body, with a certain sweetness. Tasty ale with a gentle smoke character. Quite nice.
