Bottle from 1975 @ Kulminator. Unclear red with medium off white head. Sweet and somewhat sour aroma with natural cherries wood. Sour flavor with sour cherries, marzipan and woody notes in the flavor. Ends with delicious sourness.

Cork says 2000, served in a lambic basket. Pours with a thick, foamy head and takes a very long time to subdue (which it never really does). There remains a thick foam on the surface of the beer. The color is dark amber that allows for visible carbonation. Aroma is sour cherries and some sweet lightly old cherry sorbet. Not like juice or artificial at all and then there is just a bit of chocolate to round it off. Taste is lightly acidic and light cherry soda. Has a nice tingling mouthfeel and the flavor finishes quickly. Flavor comes off as sour cherry flavored candy (in a good way, not like Jolly ranchers or anything). A very impressive aged Flanders. There is just a hint of cardboard in the aroma but otherwise still drinking superb.
750mL bottle @ Kulminator in a Speciale Felix large tulip on 5/22/08.

Bottle. Light unclear medium red color with a small, fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate cherry, marzipan, almond cake. Flavor is moderate sweet with a average duration. Body is light to medium, texture is watery to oily, carbonation is soft. (141007)

Bottled. Hazy brownrubyish colour with big white head. Aroma of cherries, rasberries and some strawberries. Flavour is very much cherries and raspberries mixed. A nicely balanced beer. Probably from 2000 (cork), even though the lables BBE markings were from early 90’s (with nothing marked/cut on the labels).

Bottle, 3.5%. Very distinct and quite sweet cherry aroma. Cloudy, very dark red colour. Almost no head. The flavour is quite sweet with a little citric note to balance. Quite low carbonation.

Felix Ouderaards Kriekbier, Akkurat, Stockholm; Vintage ~1990, 16 years old
Clean color, mahogany; almost no foam. Strong aroma of cherries, cherry kernels, some malt, kirsch, spicy cookies; the aroma is developing and transforming! Almost still; velvety mouthfeel, some sweetness, cherries and cherry kernels fruitness, a touch of vinegar sourness. The final is not bitter enough, but quite sweet, too simple, with some old wood character. Minimum signs of age.

Bottle at GBBF 2005. Glad that Dan cleared up the mystery of this beer because I wasn’t 100% certain I knew which Felix beer we had. Cloudy russet colour, smooth cherry nose, slightly sour and I though slightly chemically taste.

(Bottle 25 cl) Almost pitch black, not much head and a little low in carbonation. Pronounced sour notes from the base beer. Strong cherry flavour but never overly sweet. Rather nice indeed. 070698

Bottle (3.5%)Deep red, murky body. Pink, creamy head, totally diminishing. Excellent lace. Sweet cherry aroma. Moderately sweet initial flavour. Moderately sweet, lightly sour flavour. Not bad. Fortunately the beer isn’t a overall sweet-dominated beer, but still the sweetness is remarkably present.
