A golden colored, high gravity (O.G. 1.074) ale, brewed with pilsner, wheat and caramunich malts, along with a good dose of American hops and fermented with Jester King’s farmhouse yeast, finishing at 9.3% alcohol by volume. It is a hop forward beer with dank, resinous hop flavor and aroma, balanced by lightly kilned malt flavors, farmhouse yeast esters and a bit of warming alcohol.

750mL bottle, sent from mista (thanks a lot, Geoff), pours a hazy dark golden with a medium white head. Aroma of Belgian yeast, light fruitiness, clove and some bready malts. Flavour brings out clove, loads of Belgian yeast, a touch of candied sugar, and even a touch of wild farmhouse notes. Quite dominated by the yeast and clove to a lesser extent. The farmhouse notes don't come out that much, but the yeast is front and centre.

Got in a trade with Cyde. 750 ml bottle into signature tulip glass, no bottle dating. Pours very hazy golden orange color with a 2 finger fairly dense and fluffy off white head with good retention, that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Nice spotty foamy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of big pear, apple, grape, lemon zest, clove, pepper, floral, grass, light pine, hay, light funk, leather, and spicy yeast earthiness. Very nice aromas with good balance and complexity of hop and yeast ester notes, with a fair amount of malt balance; and good strength. Taste of lemon zest, pear, apple, grape, clove, pepper, bread, wheat, light honey, floral, grass, hay, leather, light funk, and earthy yeast spiciness. Light earthy pine bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of lemon zest, light fruits, pepper, clove, floral, grass, hay, wheat, bread, light funk, and earthy yeast spiciness on the finish for a while. Nice balance and complexity of fruity/spicy yeast flavors with moderate hop and malt notes; with zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and medium-full bodied; with a slick, fairly crisp, and earthy mouthfeel that is good. Alcohol is well hidden with only a small warming noticed after the finish. Overall this is a very good saison style. Good balance and complexity of malt, hop, and fruity/spicy yeast ester flavors; and very smooth and crisp to sip for the ABV. A nicely enjoyable offering.

Acquired in a trade just yesterday. Enjoyed in my trusty Harpoon glass at room temperature.
A - Bronze cloudy appearance. Huge carbonation of 4 fingers of creamy white puffy head. Excellent lacing and head retention although maybe TOO much head retention.
S - I get some pine, honey and citrus on the nose. Hints of pineapple.
T - I’m getting great tropical / sweet American hops, hints of wheat and honey. There’s some pine cone notes, candi sugar and oranges. It’s a very complex beer with this really nice alcohol booziness on the finish.
M - 80% carbonation, medium body and boozy finish. I was expecting dry champagne finish but it finishes more like a watered down whisky.
O - This is a great tasting beer. One that I could sip on all day.
