Steenuilke is a unique herby beer with a minor malty taste, a subtle fruitiness and a fine spicy, slightly grassy bitterness. It has a full-bodied, hoppy and dry aftertaste.

Some yeast in the aroma. Quite a soft maltiness to it with a light biterness and a slightly aromatic, herbal edge.

Bottle mail ordered from Kiya. Big fruity aroma, orange, lemon, apple, plus herbs and biscuits. Deep golden orange with a medium, pillowy head.  Tangy, fruity flavor, biscuity malt, spicy, interesting. Rather complex, really, with good flavor yet mild. Light and drinkable, enjoyable. Cool label too.

Hazy orange/amber body. Off-white rocky head. Nice aroma of hops, yeast, spices (as in a mediterraneal spice mixture) - bit sweet, but complex and well balanced. Moderately bitter, moderately sweet flavour: warming with a gentle sweetness. Well balanced and fully bodied.

Slightly hazy golden coloured body with a very fast dissolving white head. Aroma of hay, grass, honeysuckle, malt and not much of anything else- fairly mild. Medium-bodied; Assertive grassy and herbal bite with a little hops noticeable and a slightly acidic flavour at the end - very mild indeed with only the herbal and grassy notes really coming through. Aftertaste is mild with a little bit of alcohol noticeable, some minor light hops and a touch of malt palatable as well. Overall, not a bad beer - just a bit too mild and not showing much of the good thing. I sampled this 33 cL bottle purchased from the Bier Tempel in Bruxelles, Belgium on 02-January-2011 for €2,00 sampled at home in Washington on this side of the pond on 01-June-2011.
