Draft @ Cantillon Quintessence 2012. Orangée/cuivrée, pas de col. Arôme met le paquet au niveau du funk/brett avec ce côté vibrant aigre qui prend les narines. Palais, malté caramel avec une aigreur persistante qui est bien agréable, boisée sur pointe épicée. Ici aussi je note ce côté grains, farineux rappelant la noisette qui sont de suite pris par cette aigreur qui suit une fin de bouche qui passe pour plus de 6%.

Draught No head, faintly reddish shine through hazed orange-golden beer. Interesting nose with farmyard, lambic-like odours, sour cherry and other wild fruit, lemonpeel. Sourish, but mild lambic-like flavours with again wild fruit as wild raspberries a/o sourcherry. Bit of breadcrust. Light body, but well-attenuated it would seem, even if the carbonation is missing. Very good, excellent balance with a recognisable cherryflavour that is nowhere too outspoken.

Clear orange to light amber beer, no head. Aroma: pretty pungent sourness, bretta, lemon, vinegar, bit vinous, slightly fruity touch, red berries, bit peppery. MF: no carbon, medium body. Taste: sour lemony start, some overripe fruits, plums, very sour, sugary as well, some alcohol. Aftertaste: sweet and sour, dry tanins, still pretty fruity, grapes, dry tart ending with an alcohol burn in the throat.

Wässriger, flämisch saurer Beginn mit erdigen Noten. Die Säuerlichkeit bleibt dezent, kurz brennt sie im Mittelteil. Fruchtig nach Kirsche, holzig, sehr erfrischend. Gut! 8/11/12/12//12
