Bottle from Lambiczoon, Milan; Sour Ale 2009; batch 12/12, bb 31/12/17
Cloudy amber color, with few bubbles, not a real head, apparently undercarbonated. Mild aroma; there is some malt, bread, light sourness, light acetone, and an impression of white wine. It has a subtle carbonation; good malt flavor with moderate and pleasant residual sweetness; the acidity is mild, although it shows some signs of acetone; it’s a bit fruity too and has a light vinous character.
It’s somehow a reachable sour beer for many palates, yet complex enough. Good.

(Draught at Chez Moeder Lambic Fontainas, Brussels, 21 Oct 2012) Amber colour with foamy, off-white head. Sour, fruity nose with notes of balsamic vinegar, dried fruit, stable and barnyard. Fruity, tart taste with balsamic vinegar, citrus, grapefruit and green apples. Medium body, dry and tart. Hardly any bitterness. Nice and well made sour ale.

Draft @ Cantillon Quintessence 2012.
