22 oz. bottle, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma brings out lots of hearty oats, moderate roast and a touch of coffee. Flavour is very hearty, with lots of roast and oats. A touch of coffee as well. Full-bodied and hearty. Excellent.

Bomber shared by Andrew. Poured into a glass coffee cup b/c I am moving tomorrow. I don’t get a head but its a very brown colored beer but not black. Aroma is a little sweet brownie, light brown syrup malts. Flavor has a bit of overused malts character, just tired light autolysis. Well attenuated, no hops popping in, a malty, lightly chocolate, low roast imperial stout.

22 oz bottle poured. Bottle #1061, 2016. Picked up from France44. Pours black with a cream foam tan head. Aroma is a doughy, roasted malt. Flavor is smooth, short sweet, and a dark chocolate. Solid imperial stout.

22oz bottle pours an oily black with some cloudy, beige head. Nose has dark fruit, malt, molasses, toast, licorice. Flavor is very sweet, malt, molasses, raisin, black pepper, prune, cola, toast. Full, sweet finish.

Tap at LiftBridge. Brown-black body, amber edges. Not much head to speak of. Boozy brown chocolate aroma. Kind of watery, straightforward boozy Imperial Stout. Not much depth. Chocolate, caramel, toffee. Not much hops or carbonation to even it out. Kind of hot, a little intense. Not unlike an Imperial Brown at times. Smooth creamy malt tones, not so big on the chocolate or roast.......2017 bottle opened in 2019 is drinking quite nice. A classic Imperial Stout is a lot more enjoyable now, in the sea of trashy Pastry Stout. Thick, heavy malts. big chocolate tone, oily. Solid beer, seems thicker and more complex than the beer I rated years ago.

Sampled at RBSG. From notes. Chocolate and coffee with a decent dose of caramel and dark fermented fruits. Good.

RBSG 2013. I like this a little more than the BA version, I think iti s better without the bourbon barell. Still roasted malt and sweet fruit.

Bomber thanks to CLevar. Pours a jet black color with a medium light brown head with some reddish tint. A light nose of tobacco and cocoa. The flavor is excellent: rum, coconut, some roast, metal, dark fruit, very dry at times, big bitter chocolates. Light heat, but overall quite drinkable (disclaimer, I did get buzzed quick whilst grading papers). Very good.
