On tap at the Brick Store Pub. Pale, clear golden color, with a small, off-white head. The aroma is lemon zest, riesling, saltine crackers, and some basil. The first taste is sweet, with a smooth, perfect sour flavor that fades out to a crisp, clean finish. Light to medium body, a little effervescent, smooth, and acidic. This is a simple and excellent sour; refreshing, balanced, and approachable.

Tap. Pours clear pale golden, small white head, minimal lacing. Aroma is light, grapes and oak, almost a kool aid thing, some cheesy funk. Flavor is better, quite light tart, grapes, oak, mineral water, light funk. Medium body. Interesting.

I’ve been seeing this all over Seattle for weeks. I can’t believe this is the first rate on RB. Draft at Stumbling Monk in Seattle, WA. Hazy golden beer. Not acetic, no strong brett. But a musty and sharp tartness beer. Malts surround the the sourness and make it a quaffable, yet malty, yet light, yet sour beer. ind of cool that it doesn’t fall into any of the traps for sour beer and doesn’t ahve the signature De Proef goats oil brett.
