The proud piece of our brewery! Lightly amber coloured beer of 8,3% alc.vol. At the tasting of the first brewery, a beer expert noticed: "This is an amazing pint!" (In Atwerpener dialect: "Da’s een bangelijk’ goei pint!"). And so the name was found.

Poured at home (Dec ’11) from a large bottle (looked like a 750ml, but sure label said 1 litre?) into a tulip. Amber to orange/dark blond in colour with a big head of white foam, 2 fingers, which largely retained it’s presence througout drinking. Smelt of spice, hops, yeast. Not to sweet and a little hint of sour flavour to it. A good range of spices thrown in, cloves and cinnamon for sure! Good mouthfeel, nice and smooth on the palate.

On tap at the brewpub. A clear one, golden in color and with a finger-thick white head. Fruity, sugary and a bit alcoholic on the nose. Hints of blackcurrant and redcurrant. Some pale malts. The flavor has a bit too much white sugar and alcohol. Pale malts as well. Medium body. A decent one, but too sweet and warming. 110429

On tap at the brewpub (Pitcher). Clear golden body with a big, creamy white head. Aroma is fruity and yeast with a hint of canned vegetables. Flavor is sweet, light malty, some caramel, fruity, spicy, yeast and a bit metallic. Kinda drinkable but nothing really special and frankly a bit “too much” after a while. The alcohol is quite hidden.
