Bonanza Brown Ale is brewed in the old school style, as a double decoction. This method results in a very malt forward flavor, perfect for this style of beer. Light in hopping but, full of silky malt smoothness, this beer is one of our most drinkable.

Pretty straight forward, very little hopping, nutty flavour and aroma. Loght bitterness, caramels and nuts in the finish with some faint bready malts. Run of the mill

Bright, dark chestnut colour. Medium head. Nutty, a bit of thin through the middle and husky in the finish. Caramelly finish note and overall quite sweet. Not crazy a out this one.

From a 12 oz bottle purchased at the brewery. Pours a clear cola brown with an ecru head. Roasty nose. Flavors of leather and mixed nuts. Light bodied. Clean finsish.

Bottle poured at a tasting. Huge thanks to Bob for introducing me to a tick that I assumed would never come my way. Reddish brown pour. Earthy aroma. Nutty flavor with a long lingering sweetness to it. Loved the bottle. The beer was alright. Very fun to try.

341mL bottle shared by Bob. I’m going to go against the grain. It’s sweet, watery, low hop but nothing offputting. I like the sweetness and I get a strong black rye bread aroma.

Modest beige head and a coca-cola style of bright brown body with minimal head. Aroma of licorice with hints of barley. Taste has more licorice notes and sweet barley, a little weak on the mouth. Not a bad showing, there’s potential here but it could be a lot better.

Another several samples I was able to partake in while at the brewery.
In a sample glass, this showed a nice looking hazy brown color with a slight transparency about it.
The smell carried a decent nutty to caramel maltiness about it that carried over into the taste.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fairly good sessionability about it. I would say that this had a pretty good smooth almost creamy milkiness about it.
Overall, this was a pretty good brown ale that I would have again.
