Bottle from my brother. Lots of gingerbread and fruitcake, cinnamon and nutmeg. Seems like a decent English ale underneath the spice

Bottle: Pours clear, bubbling, berry-copper with a frothy vanilla coloured head. Ginger aroma, clove and caramel. Taste is ginger, caramel malt, cinnamon. Peppery spicing....raw vanilla bitter. Light and cool for the ABV. A very nice Christmas Special.

12 ounce bottle. Bright amber orange color. Medium-sized bubbly white head. Caramel malt nose with faint notes of cinnamon, nutmeg and ginger. Toasted malt flavor with lot’s of Christmas spice and floral hops. Nicely balanced and full of flavor.

Received in trade, it pours a semi-light brown and leaves the same colored body in the glass, for the most part, its very transparent indicating a good amount of visible carbonation rising with a one finger white foamy head that dies at a decent pace while the head up ends concavely to a nice speckled look of lacing gracing the sides of the glass; the aroma has a nice Christmas colored spice (ie, ginger, cinnamon, caramel; the taste is spicy and sweet at the same time, a slight warming comes in with an added sort of hoppiness to balance, its pretty easy on the palate, and overall, holy cow - from East Coast to West Coast, this quite possibly be Great Lakes’ best for style and just being a stellar beer, Of course I would have again. As far as palate goes, wow, feels great along the tongue and month. Overall, hey what a great Winter ale, good job.

Burnt orange. Nose is cinnamon, nutmeg and cloves Taste is more of the same. It’s just like any other christmas ale but I like the spice combo.

Draft @ the source. The brewers description is damn spot on. Nose is cinnamon, clove and hints of pine needles. Flavor runs the same with medium body and a herb, spice finish. It really does remind me of Christmas type flavors, ginger is real mild and is a compliment to the other spices in the brew. Good brew.

Bottle. Pours cloudy amber with small beige head. Aroma is nutmeg and clove. Thin mouthfeel with strong spices and cinnamon and light bitterness. Good.
