If you’re looking for hops, we’ve got your tail. Hop Gun IPA delivers a payload of good ol’ American hops straight to your palate, bursting forth with the flavors of grapefruit and pineapple. A careful dose of smooth caramel malts swoop in to balance out the finish — just like any good wingman should.

On tap at the hotel bar. Aroma is fairly hop forward with a balanced, moderately strong malt note. Lots of grapefruit and line resin. Malt is cracker, but also quite a bit of lighter caramel and some toasted bread. Pours a fairly clear, copper color with a small, thick white head that recedes to a thin film that lingers. Moderately high lacing and small legs. Flavor is somewhat sweet with a balanced, fairly strong bitterness. Some caramel and toasted bread notes with a bit of a cracker and biscuit character. Moderate hop notes with grapefruit, pine resin and hop oils being lost prevalent. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with medium carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall, a clean IPA but very boring. Old school hop and malt profile.

Thanks Kelly!
This was poured into a becher pint glass.
The appearance was a semi-hazy burnt yet transparent glossy orange color. One finger white foamy head dissipates immediately. Messy sticky lacing.
The smell takes on sweet apricot, mango, honeydew and melon sliding over top of a light sweet to bitter grassy hoppiness. Light caramel malt underneath.
The taste was mainly sweet with bitter grassy hoppiness coming in nicely. Quick bitter grassy aftertaste but a sweet citrus/apricot finish.
On the palate, sits about a light to medium on the body. Sweet smooth feel on my tongue, different for an AIPA, but I like it.
Overall, damn nice AIPA, I’d definitely have this again.
