On tap at the Olde Lincoln House, Ephrata, PA.
This was poured into a pint glass.
The appearance was a nice looking hazy bronzed golden orange color with a slim bar pour’s kind of white head that dissipated gracefully.
The smell started with a slight rye malt gracefully blending with a grassy to light citrus hoppiness.
The taste blended the spicy rye with the grassy to citrus hop. A light semi-crisp spice to citrus aftertaste leads to a semi-wet citrus finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a decent sessionability about it. Carbonated definitely as an AIPA, the bitterness invades and punches my tongue appropriately.
Overall, this was a good AIPA with the rye malt to accompany a nice spice. I would definitely have again.

Grass and soil nose, not strong. Cloudy copper, full of fine floaties, medium yellow head, nice glass adherence. Sweet curacao, malt. Orange peel finish. Medium body, easy carbonation, warm. Good bitterness, but unusually sweet on the front end.

Bottled 355ml. -Courtesy of MatSciGuy, shared with him and Marko (thanks!). Orange/golden coloured, small off-white head, pleasant hoppy nose. Sweet malty, citric hoppy and light alcoholic with moderate bitterness in the finish. Interesting but somehow pretty ordinary brew.

Huge thanks to MatSciGuy for bringing this! Poured a golden body with a medium sized, lasting white head. Citric hoppy aroma, notes of orange, light alcohol, candyish. Seems it lost some aroma on the trip, but still not that bad. Herbal, strong bitter taste, some melon, light alcohol again (?), orange, slightly sweetish, slightly too thin. Lovely strong bitter aftertaste... interesting beer, hope to try it fresh one day to rearate.

I’m liking the rye-PA trend more and more. I think the grain really works well for the style - the intense grain aromas of the rye work well to counterbalance the intense hops for style. Pours orange with good head and lacing. Smells citrusy and has a good rye malt backbone. Finishes medium bitter with some citrus sourness. Tap at Circa.

Refrigerated brown 12 oz. bottle, best by June 28, 2014, poured into a snifter. Pours clear light orange with small white head which dissipates quickly. Aroma is grapefruit, medium body, low carbonation, and some small bubble lacing. Taste is grapefruit, pine, and dry bitter finish.
