Brewed in the centuries old tradition of German beers, our brewers use more wheat and proprietary yeast to give it the unmistakable character of a flavorful, authentic Hefeweizen. The High proportion of wheat gives In Heat its smooth, full-mouth feel and our special yeast gives it its unique fruity and spicy aroma.

15 cl. draft @ Delirium Hoppy Loft. Lightly hazy with a white head. Smell is pretty standard for the style, mellow wheat, tad banana, cloves, some yeast. Taste is lightly floral and tad bitter, wheat is laid bad, mellow tad on the sweeter side with some minor banana and caramel, mellow bubblegum with ok body. I often diss this brewery but this not bad, perhaps not exceptional but for me certainly an enjoyable hefe.

Aroma is a bit skunky with some sweet orange. Feel is oily, carbonation is strong. Flavour is sweet and quite peppery but otherwise bland.

Looks and smells like a hefeweizen, even had some sediment to swirl in the bottom of the bottle. Taste seems a little off to me, some citrusy notes, but not the usual banana/ bubblegum of the German varieities. I’d go German over this any day....

12 ounce bottle. Cloudy straw yellow color with a creamy white head topping endless fast moving bubbles. Briney, yeasty wheat malt aroma. Sweet wheat malt flavor reminiscent of Captain Crunch cereal. Lacks the clove-like complex character of the Bavarian wheats, but is refreshing none the less.

355ml bottle. Hazy orangey golden colour with quickly fading frothy white head. Slightly sourish wheaty aroma, slightly fruity and with a spicy touch. Taste is slightly sweet fruity, sweet banana on the one hand, tart citrus on the other. Prickling carbonation struggles with an creamy to oily palate. Interesting fruity interpretation of the Hefeweizen-style.

Bottle. Has a hazy yellow/orange colour with a small white head. A classic hefeweizen aroma with fruity yeast, banana, wheat, some spices, and is somewhat floral. More sweetness in the flavour but much of the same stuff from the aroma, but some citrus. Very light bitterness, and feels rich and soft in the mouth. A decent hefeweizen.

355ml bottle with humourous label! Pours slightly hazy. Tempting aroma with banana and spices. Very tasty with pleasant and refreshing hint of ginger. High score for drinkability.

Bottle. Pours a cloudy golden yellow with a small lingering white head with spotty lacing. Aromas of citrus, spice, and banana. Taste is light. Wheat, malt, & citrus. Not bad, but rather light overall. Needs a little more complexity.
