Harking back to the Porters of mid 19th Century London, our Porter is brewed with a traditional malt bill of pale, brown and black malts to create a rich flavour and dark colour. This modern exploratory interpretation of a classic favourite is sure to age gracefully.

Sampled 750 ml. bottle @ “Vini Birre Ribelli 2015”. Black, creamy & bubbly mocha head. Very powdery mocha notes, light ashes, coffee grounds, powdery mocha,… Taste is very powdery, dry mocha, instant coffee, chicory, caramel,… Very dry,… Very powdery body, too much so for me,… Indeed tasted traditional, nice but not entirely to personal preferences.

At a tasting, many thanks, almost no head, quite opaque dark brown color, aroma of roasted coffee and chocolate cake, flavor of coffee with sweetish malt, green peppers and metallic notes with a quite strong herbal bitterness, light pleasant sweetness. Good and highly enjoyable.
