Pours very dark brown from the bottle. A thin, creamy head clings to the glass. Aroma is sweet cream, roasted grains, soft hints of chocolate. Taste is sweet with a thin, mineral bitterness that plays out the end. Body is medium, carbonation is above average for the style and accenuates the hard mineral water notes. Okay, but not among my top porters.

Bottle from Drinkmonger. Black body with a thin beige head. Faint lacing. Aroma of dark chocolate and nuts. Flavour of coffee, blueberries and dark chocolate. Thin to medium body with a watery texture. Soft fizz. Really good - dark and roasted.

9/VII/16 - 33cl bottle @ home, Katie & Kevin tasting - BB: 6/VII/17, bottled: 6/I/16 (2016-749) Thanks to Katie & Kevin for sharing the bottle!
Clear dark brown beer, big creamy beige irregular head, very stable, adhesive, leaving a nice lacing in the glass. Aroma: very nice, lots of chocolate, malty, some coffee, caramel, lactose hint even. MF: soft carbon, medium body. Taste: sweet start, some chocolate, coffee, bitter hops, slightly sour. Aftertaste: very dry, intense roast, dried fruits, lots of chocolate. Holy bim bam, what a good porter!
Superb! Nailed a great porter.
