Bottle at a friends. Bought in Denmark. A nice Apa that doesn't scream and shout but is homely

Dec. ’16. On tap at Be.Re, Rome, with ippopotamo36. It poured a hazy orange body with medium sized head. A bit of caramel and some tropical fruit hops in it generally weak aroma. Flavor was lightly to moderately sweet, caramel, almond, citrus peel, sugar and yeast. Medium body. Lightly more hoppy in the finish, which wasn’t too bitter anyway. Just lightly herbal within caramel and sugary biscuit. Expected more, but it was a correct APA, only on the sweeter and despite that, still light side. Sub par.

0,5 l bottle. Bright copper in the glass with a lot of sediments. Nearly two finger foamy head. Floral spicy and citrus sweetness on the nose. Taste starts hopy, crisp, citrus. Malt in the second row. Later hints of caramell. Less bitterness in the aftertaste. Smooth. Sweet.

Part of a 10 euro, 6 beer blind tasting set at Trois 8’s biergarten event in Paris. The third beer in the set was a West Coast Style IPA. It had an aroma of lemon/citrus with a balanced malt sweetness. Soft bodied but slightly chalky with flavors of bitter pine. A straight up IPA.
