Fiebre de Malta, CDMX tap: pours amber with a white head. Aroma is sort of candy maltiness. Taste is slightly sweet. No bitterness. A bit thin. Meh.

Bottle. Pours clear reddish amber, with very small off-white frothy head, faint caramel aroma, sweetish taste followed by lightly bitter caramel, low carbonation, thin watery body, abrupt finish. Nice try but needs more work

Soft carbonation, almost a creamy mouthfeel. Pours hazy red with decent head and lacing. Light sweet finish. Ok. Tap at brewpub.

A reddish amber ale with a thin off white head. In aroma, cloying sweet strawberry jam with butterscotch notes, cloying and unpleasant. In mouth, a sweet light bodied caramel malt with butterscotch extract, watery, boring. On tap at Fiebre de Malta.

Draught at Fiebre de Malta, Mexico City. Clear nut brown, creamy head. Fruity caramelly nose. Sweetish with medium body and rounded mouthfeel. Mildly roasty with notes of caramel and chocolate. Slight spicy hops before a mid bitter finish. Doesn’t turn me on.
