Powerful beer, with a silky texture and aromas of the roasted malts and macchiato. Subtle notes of vanilla, cinnamon and chocolate. There can only be one Cassius that has the mightiness and the gentleness that will blow you away. “He floats like a butterfly and stings like a bee…”.

Bottle from ippopotamo trade. Kabinet Cassius 6.3% a dark black with a big fizzy tan head. The nose is chocolate syrup, roasty coffee and a certain sharp almost medicinal scent in there somewhere. A soft pillowy carbonation leads to a thin body. The taste is roasty coffee, savoury, light chocolate syrup - decent but more middle of the road than their other stuff.

Bottled 330ml. -Courtesy of Marko, shared with him and others. Black coloured, small to medium sized brown head, mild coffee nose. Light roasted malt, chocolate, whiff of tobacco and cocoa with light chocolate and coffee finish. No cinnamon at all.

On tap, February 2017:Now this is more like it. Right now, Cassius is a much cleaner, classier classic stout, without greater flaws. Soft coffee, light roastiness, silky maltiness, both in the nose and in the taste. Lighter than average perhaps, but still quite drinkable. Doubt this will be anybody’s best stout ever, but it’s technically flawless and nicely drinkable.Bottled (birthday rating!), December 2014:Huge thanks to markoijelena for the beer and Andrej for carrying it! Anyway, brown/black misty body with a medium sized slightly brown/beige head. Interesting aromas, blueberry, coffee, roasty... nice! Liiiight, mild roasty taste, slightly yeasty, very vague vanilla I guess. Too light. Ugh, another one after Borgo’s Perle ai Porci that smells very good, but the taste is nowhere near that. 8/3/6/3/12

0,33 bottle purchased in Serbia. Pours a browny black color with a small gassy tan head which quickly dissipates. Nose: roasted malts, coffee and again that typical Kabinet under fermented aroma (very light this time). Some powder vanilla. Mouth: medium carbonation, refreshing body, mild coffee, hot chocolate. A bit too watery but ok. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
