500ml @ Matt's (thx for the bottle, man!) shared with Phill and other Matt's friends. Appearance: almost black with a beige head. Aroma: loads of American oak, some dark fruits and chocolate, a bit of booze. Taste: along the same lines, chocolate, dark fruits, lots of oak. Not as thick as I expected, bit it's not a first time, unfortunately. A bit of nicely integrated booze. Overall: nice balance and complexity, sophisticated product. I wish a bit more viscosity, though.

500mL bottle, pours jet black with a tiny head. Aroma is complex, with lots of deep bourbon barrel character, a little molasses, and alcohol. Flavour is wonderfully complex, with tons of bourbon barrel character, light oxidation, and molasses. Huge bourbon character that is well-refined and situated. Lovely.

Tasting at Peters, Ystad, Sweden (25/11/2023) - roasted and sweet dark malty with lots of velvety chocolate, some toffee and caramel malty sweetness, full bodied, whisky edged warming lightly boozy bear hug of a finish. Lovely

Bottle shared by Tom, thanks! Pours black with an earthy brown head that dissipates to the edges quickly. Aroma has bitter dark grains and bourbon with roast and dark chocolate supporting. Flavor has chocolate bourbon and bitter dark grains with a hint of roasted malts backing.

Bottle from a trade at home, preparing for Black Friday. Pours a black colour and a brown head, quickly receding. Aroma's are sweetish, vanilla, boozy, whiskey/bourbon. Retronasal it's sweet, boozy, roasted, barrel, vanilla, wood. Flavour is heavy sweet, light fruity, boozy. Alcohol is rather hot. Almost full bodied. Long finish, sweet, alcoholic. Pretty damn delicious.

Bottle: Poured a pitch-black color ale with a large dark brown foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of smooth bourbon notes with some woody notes, vanilla and huge amount of black chocolate notes. Taste is also an exceptional mix between some huge sweet chocolate notes with some well-balanced notes of smooth bourbon notes, some woody notes and vanilla with a sweet finish. Body is full with nice creamy texture and good carbonation. The better bourbon barrel really showed in this version.
