Bottle from Speciaalbierpakket. Aroma is pretty strong liquorice with roasted malt, soft bourbon, light oaky, raisins, dark chocolate, coffee. Flavour is above medium sweet with a nice roasty bitterness in the finish. Body is medium to full. Nicely roasty and bittersweet with liquorice, coffee and dark chocolate, enriched by a modest barrel character. Hardly the biggest, but enjoyable Stout.

Keg at Cotteridge Wines, Brum. Pours jet black with a small head. Aroma is bourbon, roast, coconut and alcohol. Taste has roast to start. Bourbon, coconut and alcohol finish.

Bottle @ Brabants Bier festival. Black with a small offwhite head. Smells sweet, roasty, chocolate. Tastes roasty, sweet, wood, oak, roasty, nice. Full body. Nice carbo.

8 4 8 3 16 Bottle shared. Black with a ring tan head. Aroma of bourbon, oak barrel, vanilla, chocolate, caramel, coffee and licorice. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and moderate bitter. Light full bodied with an alcohol burn in the finish and light carbonation.

Sampler from tap at Stadsbrouwhuis. Black colour, thin beige head. Aroma of laurel, cardamon or gale, quite spicy, some oak, booze, roasted malts, liquorice. Flavour is sweet, boozy, oak, wood, sweet spices, laurel, gale, liqourice, some tar, bittersweet finish. Medium bodied.

Bottle shared with Pim & Jolijn @ Van Moll Brewpub. Opaque pitch black color, average sized brown colored head that diminishes fairly quickly. Aroma and flavor are malts, roasted malts, coffee, dark chocolate, bourbon and quite heavy bitter. Malt bitter, chocolate bitter, roasted malts bitter. Thick oily texture, full body, suitable decent carbonation. Awesome beer!
