Gravity Keg at Churchkey event. Poured a relatively dark amber color. Aroma is caramel malts, and pretty much just caramel malts. Flavor is sweet malts, touch of caramel and that’s about it.

Bottle. Pours clear tea\amber with airy off-white head. Clear aroma of malt with a touch of caramel. Rather bitter flavour of hops with a touch of malty sweetness. A trifle unbalanced. Still, a reasonable dunkel.

New Beer Distributors, NY 50cl ($4.50): Pours a copper color with a whitish head. Aroma is caramel, malt, and a modicum of hops. Taste is quite sweet, and it leaves somewhat of an aftertaste that is quite sugary. Body is medium. Not bad, but easily forgettable.

Bottle from South Lyndale Liquor. A light brown color and low carbonation. The aroma has malt and lager yeast but there is also some light spice I can’t identify, along with the lightest nutmeg. Rich palate and lots of sweet malt. A very good dunkel, and unusual with the light spice. Another reminder that it is hard to get a quality dunkel outside of central Europe.

Medium beige head. Beautiful deep ambery brown body. Earthy caramelly mineraly toffee aroma with nougaty marzipan notes. Wow. Dry-sweet caramelly earthy marzipan taste with roasty grainy mineraly notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, smooth mouthfeel. Dryish earthy roasty marzipana aftertaste with mineraly burnt caramel notes. Flavour lingers for a good while. Unusual, but really, really nice. (0.5l bottle, Absinth Depot Berlin.)
