Cask at GBBF'23, day one, 01/08/23. Extremely dark mahogany brown with a beige cap that thins edgewards. Nose is toffee, cocoa powder, coffee bean, brown sugars. Taste comprises dark malts, light roast, mocha, coffee, charr, dried fruit rinds. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, semi drying close. Decent cask porter.

Bottle. Beer Central, Sheffield. Dark, cola brown. Thin and sticky, beige head. Nose has baking chocolate. Packet coffee. Some ground coffee. Taste is sweet and sticky. Some coffee bitterness. Thin mouthfeel. Bitter finish. A little artificial overall. Not one of this brewer’s best.

Chelmsford Winter Beer Fest (with Rune, Rasmus, Saxo and Camons) @ KEGS. Cask. Almost opaque dark brown beer, small pale tan head. Palate is light, semi dry and has modest fine carbonation. Tangy dark fruits and artificial dark chocolate. Mild floral bitterness. Light semi dry finish. Clunky.
