Bourbon Wolves begins as our house Porter, Werewolves of Cambridge, before entering bourbon barrels for four months. A decadent mix of chocolate, cocoa, and vanilla give this beer an assertive yet balanced flavor profile. Each sip finishes creamy and smooth, rounded out by a warming combination of toffee and bourbon.

Draught at the brewery, 12/13/17.
Dark mahogany, seemingly clear, with dark magenta highlights. Small, light tan head shows moderate-to-low retention.
The nose, while full of rich bourbon, huge toast and very light roasted barley, doesn't even prepare for the onslaught of toasted oak and bourbon to come in the flavor. Like drinking a bourbon heavy pina colada. This is absolutely destroyed by the massive, massive over-barreling. This could be a glass of literally any liquid and you wouldn't know as nothing breaks through the barrel character here. Slick-to-oily texture, light-to-moderate carbonation.
