We took Konkey Dong, fattened him up a bit, and doubled the dry hop for a whopping 8.5 pounds of hops per barrel.

Opaque and somewhat dull appearance. Just a thin head. Green and chalky hop, which is about what I remember from the last time I had a Konkey Dong, in Havana a bunch of years ago. Lots of bitterness. Malts are okay but I wouldn't say more than that. Not bad if you can handle the hop burn.

Super hazy deep orange and straw yellow coloured body with a thinnish, two centimetre tall tan head that stays atop the murky, 90 per cent opaque body. Aroma of grass, citrus, oranges, juice, a dash of tropical fruits and some noticeable alpha acids that seem bitter. Full-bodied; Very rich, chunky malt notes show at first with a lot of sweetness, orange fruit and some bananas, with a creamy, milky and strong vanilla bite to couple with a ton of malt richness and alcohol along with some alcohol warmth, especially at the end. Aftertaste is rich and super robust with honey, oranges, grass, resin, flowers and a ton of malt notes showing through, with bunches of alcohol and residual sugars, too - not at the cloying level, but very sweet. Overall, a strong, pungent and robust real Imperial IPA that is New England in context, but rich and pungent overall and somewhat less juicy than I expected, in content. A funny label, sort of, but I don't think I understand anything at all of what is actually going on it. Interesting throughout and worthy of finding if you like the style! I sampled this sixteen ounce, pint-sized can, purchased from Liqour Outlet in Boonton, New Jersey on 18-December-2021 for US$4,89, cannned on 30-November-2021 and sampled at my house here in Washington on 15-February-2022.

16 oz. can, thanks to Mark. Pours an opaque, orange color, with a small, bubbly, white head. The aroma is hay, apricot, lemon cream, and papaya. Sweet and sugary, with a mellow bitterness. Lovely, bright, and tropical.

Lilly, pithy grapefruit, guava, maraschino cherry nose. Opaque pale orange, medium head. Caramel, grapefruit, lilly, anise. Aspartame overtones. Full body, easy carbonation. A bit too sweet with disharmonious flavors.

Murky medium apricot orange-brown body, thick cream head. Sweet, estery aroma with pineapple, lychee, guava, citrus rind, and catty herbal notes. Big body, a blend of sugared tangerine rind and tropical fruits, including papaya, lychee, and pineapple. Robust and assertive but neither bitter nor too sweet. Excellent.
