30th June 2015: cask pint into a dimpled jug, Briar Rose, a Spoons in Birmingham. Pale amber body, thin white head that tried to leave some lacing. Not as aromatic as the name suggests: some floral notes in the nose and hints of Tropicana. Light malts in the flavours with a floral hop like finish. Decent enough blend but lacked depth and character.

On cask at the Grosvenor. Appearance - pale blonde with a nice head. Some haze. Nose - floral and lemon. Taste - more of the same and getting into grapefruit. Palate - light to medium bodied with a creamy texture and a long dry finish. Overall - golden ale by numbers but great stuff.
