Vom Fass ( 7,5% vol.) im Muted Horn Berlin 2020-01 getrunken. Dieses dunkelrote Sour Ale kommt typischen Eichennoten einer Fassreifung daher. Die Säure ist hier recht moderat und paßt zu dem Beeren-Aroma. Ein richtig gut gemachter Sour Ale.

Bottle from the Cloudwater Barrel Aged Box, beer No:2. Consumed in Frank at Lenggries Mountain Camping listening to Ulaan Khol - Collapsing Hymns. Pours dark red with a swiftly departing pinky/off white head. Fruity, tart and zappy, really edging into red wine territory, lots of juicy berries, like this.

Keg at 73 Enid Street, 31/10/19. Claret red to purple with a well presented faded crimson cap that dissipates edgeward. Nose is tarte berry fruits, damp hay, grass, hedgerow, faint piss, berry tang. Taste comprises damp straw, grape must, dried cranberries, mellow acidic bite, damson, light basement funk. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, drying close with a tarte berry closure. Ok BA sour but lacks complexity.

On tap at 73 Enid St. Pours murky pink red with a reasonable white head. Aroma is jammy fruit, funk, berry fruits, red wine. Taste is plum, jammy red berry fruits, lots of sharp tartness and a bit of funk. Really well balanced. Good stuff.

Keg at 73 Enid Street. A hazed plummy red brown coloured pour with a lasting light pink froth. Aroma is layered jammy fruit, dry woody notes, red currant, tart berries, dry tartness. Mellow funk. Flavour is composed of semi sweet mixed berries, woodland fruit, wood, dry oak tannin. Palate is semi sweet, quickly drying, moderate crisp, tannin, tart dry finish. Decent complexity.
