A supercharged Double IPA Packed with all the hops…. This is a big big beer that’s not for the faint hearted with robust flavours and bundles of character. Its all going on with a heady mix of citrus, freshly cut grass, mango, passion fruit, pineapple, peaches and marmalade. Think fruit explosion with a wonderful malt backbone giving depth, body and a silky texture. A bitter sweet experience that can not be missed.

Draught, 8.5% at 57 The Headline. Mild diacetyl aroma. Cloudy golden colour. Stable white head. The flavour has some paper, but not exactly diacetyl. High bitterness. Creamy flavour, a bit like some wheat beers. Funky. Perhaps infected.

Light haze on this gold beer, thin pale cream colour head. Palate is light, semi dry and has decent fine carbonation. Light malts, very modest sweetness. Hop spice and mild bitterness. Alcohol noticeable but there is no heat. Light touches of tropical fruits, spicy orange and a little pith. Light finish. Slightly rough edged but I quite enjoyed it.

Irish murky. Huge dry-hopping. Incredibly dank. Resinous piny beast. I feel the pith. Conditioning needs to be improved.

Bottle from O’Brien’s, Athlone [200915]
Dark amber, slight haze, frothy white head, some lacing
Aroma of passion fruit, mango, tropical fruits, some berry fruits, slight pine, very fruity
Taste of fruits as above, hint of strawberry! too, sweet fruity pale caramel malts, plenty of zesty fruity hops, touch of alcohol
Palate - Soft carb. medium to full body, rather sweet, booze a bit noticeable. Finish as main flavour, fruity, bit dry, soft alcohol, more sweetness later in the tail
Overall - Loads of fruit, seems more malty than FOF, not a big fan of over malty DIPAs but this works well, however booze is a bit noticeable

Bottle sample at a tasting at Alexey’s place. Thanks Tom L. Clear deep golden. Aroma of fruity hops and a bit of diacetyl. Flavor has some sweetness, fruity hops, and moderate bitterness. Medium-bodied. Decent.
