Bottle picked up from Appel Getränkemarkt Moosburg and consumed at home Sunday 28th November 2021 listening to Arab Strap - As Days Get Dark in front of the fire 🔥. We have a homemade Goulash in the slow cooker. Pours gold with a white head, good clarity. Malty with a little bit of honey sweetness, warming, a little rich. There is a little bitterness, it's good without being great.

# 269; 3/2016. Ve vůni výrazně sladový bock. V chuti dosti sladký s až mandlovými tóny. Ucházející.

Bottle(Diky, pane profesoře!): Golden, a bit unclear, mid-sized stable creamy white head, mild to very mild bisquity-honeyish nose, shades of herbal-woody hops; moderate bitter-sweet flavour, mild and light bodied; spheric and delicate bitter-sweet finish. Nothing special…

Bottle looks simple but good. Beer in the glass brownish, nice head. Starts strong-malty, light alcoholic notes, a bit soapy. Dry-hoppy background, modest bitter. Finish more balanced, less alcoholic. Not bad!

500ml Bottle from Beers of Europe: drank at home on 25th June 2014, some 16 days after it’s BBD. Poured into a ’La Chouffe’ glass (twice). Mid-range golden body with a good white head on each pour. The nose is slightly malty, but there is not a lot going on, even when it warms a bit in the glass. Malts also show the most in the taste, again fairly light and with moderate sweetness: the hops giving a hint of bitterness and a drying finish. A little on the bland side for a ’Winter Bock’ in my eyes, no traces of ’winterness’ at all, apart from the lovely front label on the bottle.
