A bold chestnut-red mild with nutty biscuit notes with a delicious hint of chocolate. Brewed using amber malt, caramalt, black malt and choicest fuggles it is an easy drinking traditional black country mild.

(Cask) Clear dark amber golden with a small, rough off-white head. Lightly burned and nutty aroma. light body, a little watery with light, nutty accents and a whiff of licorice. Low in carbonation and basically no bitterness. 121008

Cask (handpump) @ Crown Inn, Stockport, Cheshire England SK6 6JY.Clear medium to dark red brown color with a average, frothy, good lacing, fully lasting, off-white to beige head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, caramel, berry. Flavor is moderate sweet and light to light moderate bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft to flat. (280708)

Cask at EBF 2008, on Saturday September 13Clear dark copper color, small white head. Fruity, roasted, malty tsate. Fruity and malty scent. A bit weak mouthfeel, low bitterenss.

50 cL bottle. Pours dark amber an clear with a fully gone head. Smooth malty and slight roasted aroma. Roasted malt flavour with a breadish note and bitterness. Medium dry yet also slight fruity. Thin/light bodied.

Cask at GBBF 2007. A hazy brown beer with a thin beige head. The aroma is sweet malty with primary notes of caramel, but also light notes of roasted malt. The flavor is sweet malty with light notes of chocolate and roasted malty, leading to a slightly dry finish. The body is thin.

[i] Cask at the Woolpack, Banbury, 14-10-07 [/i] Poured dark brown with thin tan head. The taste was caramel and malty, very smooth, flavoursome and a touch sweet, but a pretty solid and enjoyable mild.

Cask@GBBF2007. Rubyish amber colour, mediumsized beige head. Aroma is vegetables, some nice caramel and roast. Flavour is really mildly roasted malts and caramel. The caramel grows a bit in the finish.
