330ml bottle, thanks to Taboada for this! Hazed dark appearance, good beige head. Liquorice, leather, treacle, Espresso and roast all feature nicely here, smooth palate, good woody bitterness. Nice to try a dark beer from jakobsland for once!

Gift from Taboada in the Euro Beer Swap 2019-2. Thanks! Nice one. Tight light brown head stayed all the way on s dark brown thick still body. Coffee, malt & oat aroma. Medium bodied, mild carbonation to the fire followed by a creamy back. Coffee, cream, malts, chocolate & spicy tastes with a bitter finish.

Review based on the BJCP2015 guidelines (style 9C). Bottle 33 cl - Batch L190394 (BBF 02-2029). AROMA: medium roasted aroma. slight dried grapes. low sulphury background note. APPERANCE: very dark brown colour and opaque um slight ruby highlights. medium moussy light brown head with good retention. TASTE: similar to the aroma with a prominent roasted character (coffee-like), almost burnt. medium-high bitterness with a dry, bitter and roasty finish. PALATE: medium-high body with medium-low carbonation. OVERALL: a baltic porter with an aggressive roastiness on the palate. unbalanced.

Normal.
