Adam is a recreation of a historic beerstyle. It was originally made in Dortmund, Germany, it was the very first beer I produced when I opened Hair of the Dog. Rich in flavor, Adam is best served as a dessert beer. It is great with cigars or chocolate or just a warm fire and good company.

Bottle at the Jim Green Returns tasting, Zaandam. Poured a slightly hazy medium brown with a thin broken light tan head. The aroma is roasty malt, liqouirce, floral hop, light boozy alcohol. The flavour is moderate liquorice bitter with a smooth, slightly watery, floral dry aromatic hop bitter palate. Medium to light bodied with soft carbonation. I expected better.
