Dark bitter. Rich malts, like an old brown ale but hopped as an English bitter.

Creamy light brown head stayed on reddish brown body. Sweet malt, toffee & caramel aroma. Medium bodied, creamy with a foamy back. Toffee, caramel & sweet malt tastes with a tangy berry finish. Nice one.

Pint inside the Queens Road Tap. Ruby brown, translucent with a creamy beige head and lots of lacing. Not a big aroma but a get a good dollop of chocolate malt. Tastes strongly of the same, lots of Ovaltine with suggestions of forest fruit. It's sweet with a light suggestion of bitterness toward the finish and more dusty chocolate in the aftertaste. Nice.

50cl bottle from Samonite, Sheffield Medium creamy white head. Very hazy amber pour. Light bitterness. A bit odd this one but pleasant enough to drink.

Hand pull at Great British Food Festival in Derbyshire - rather flat looking reddy brown body with no head. Nose is a rather bland mix of malts and fruit, taste though picks it up with a decent amount of fruits and caramel hints. Nor bad.

Cask, handpull at The Guildford, Edinburgh, with Craig, Stella & Kids, Jan, Charlotte & Loz, 30.10.10 Classic amber with white bubbly head. There is a light maltiness and fruitiness, I get a sort of dusty furniture thing with this, the hops are a bit shy and its all a tad too sfae. A6 A3 T6 P3 Ov11 2.9
