Small, light tan head over opaque brown beer. Sweet bread, banana, breakfast cereals, hint at honeysweets. Meaty esters in a surprising pop-up in the mouth. Again dark bread, very faint acidity, as if the bread were made with sourdough, cattle fodder. Medium bodied, medium to good carbonation, very slick, bit oily feel. Quite classic dunkler (!) Bock, sweet.

Bottle. Bright brown color, solid head slightly tan, amost clear, some sediment. Flavor mostly of burnt malts, bark bread, caramel, molasses, decent grassy hops. Relatively thick body and dense texture. It has a 'landbier' feel to it, very malty, smooth finish a bit oily.ok

“Schinkels Brauhaus Bio-Bockbier“, Flasche (50 cl) direkt von der Brauerei. - Dunkles Kupferrotbraun, klar. - In der Nase massives dunkles Malz mit kräftiger Nußnote und hintergründiger krautiger Hopfenherbe. - Antrunk weich und füllig dunkelmalzig mit Bitterkakao, nur dezenter Restsüße, moosiger Herbe und einer ganz zart modrigen Altersnote. Mild rezent, für einen Bock recht schlank, deutlich (hart) mineralisch. Im Abgang kakaobitter-trocken mit milder holziger Herbe. Moosiger Nachhall. - Ungewöhnlich aber nicht schlecht. Wirkt allerdings etwas alt bzw. überlagert.

Half-litre bottle at the brauhaus on 12th May 2017. Murky brown pour, beige head. Sweet malty molasses rule this brew in both the nose and taste, light bitterness towards the finish, otherwise the hops just hide. Enjoyed it.

12-11-16 // 500ml bottle bought at the brewpub. Pours a light hazy golden orange beer with a solid white head. Taste is sweet malty, light caramel. Light bitter note in the end. Texture is a bit to watery for a Bock.

Draught at the brauhaus
Beautiful color, mahogany, hazy, with creamy head. Light caramel aroma. There is a pleasant malt and caramel flavor, with very moderate residual sweetness, and ordinary bitterness.
One more easy beer from this brewery, not flawed, but not daring.
