A premium mid-amber ale with a sting in the tale. Rich malty flavour and sufficient Fuggles and Goldings hops to balance the ale to a Premium Bitter.

26/5/2018. Cask at the Lincoln CAMRA Beer Festival 2018. Pours clear amber brown with a bubbly off-white head. Aroma of malt, caramel, hops, fruit and biscuit. Medium sweetness, moderate bitterness. Moderate body, slight oily and watery texture, average carbonation. Dry finish, with bitterness increasing, and some berries and chocolate coming through. Quite a complex beer which developed in the glass.

25th April 2015: gravity poured half-pint at a beer festival in the Duke of York, Lichfield. Amber with an off-white topping. Nice blend of aromas and flavours with the malts just about winning the battle in both the nose and taste. Slight bitter finish.

Cask at the Wellington, Birmingham. Poured a dark amber with a bubbly white head. The aroma is weak malt with some hops in the background. The flavour is medium to weak bitter with a medium bodied liqourice palate and a short bitter finish. A decent session ale but needs more body and defining flavours.

At Hucknall Beer Festival - rather peppery nose and taste, came across as a well balanced beer, would like another go at this one,
