Murray's Angry Man Pale Ale is a classic US pale ale. Australian, English and German malts balance the huge citrus/pine hop aroma and flavour strongly influenced by generous use of US Centennial and New Zealand Motueka and Pacifica hops. A brilliant light-golden colour, Murray's Angry Man Pale Ale has a full-bodied finish and complex character. This is well balanced with biscuity/toffee flavours from selected caramalts.

Coming back to this one for the first time in a few years, it’s a little sweeter than I remembered. The aroma is apricot, ripe tangerine, grain, lemon and a little cut grass late. The grainy flavour and the lemony hops are prominent in the mouth, and that tangerine comes through a little too. Not nearly as good as I remembered.

Varsin hiilihappoinen, kohtalaisen kevyt suutuntuma. Ihan ok, mutta ei mestariteos.

On tap at Murray's, pours a clear copper with a small white head. Aroma is a bit metallic, with biscuity malt and citrusy piney hops. Flavour is stale tasting, with a cardboard-like biscuity malt and light hoppy astringency. Not a fan of this one - too stale and astringent.

330ml bottle. Clear, orangey, deep golden to amber colour with small to average, frothy, fairly lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Citrusy and slightly piney and grassy, hoppy aroma, biscuity malty background, hints of lemon drops, candied lemon zest. Taste is moderately sweet, biscuity malty, hints of caramel and toffee, all interspersed with citrusy and piney hoppy flavours, notes of lemon, lemon drops, a touch of peanut. Relatively complex on the malty side for an APA.
