345ml bottle into glass. Weird aroma, fruit/cream/glue/cardboard? But the beer looks great, hazy amber with solid white head. Many fine bubbles ascend slowly. Watery taste with a distant metallic hop finish. A hint of banana maybe but really......nothing else. These Matilda Bay beers promise much, often look the goods, but deliver nothing but disappointment. A watery, tinny lager with good lacing and excellent carbonation? All you remember is the watery/tinny bit.

From a 345ml bottle on 24/7/2011. Pours a clear golden with a medium head. Has a very slight aroma of grainy, bready malt. Nothing of particular interest is evident in the taste. There’s the slightest hint of a citrus tang and a decent medium dry hop finish. An unexciting line and length brew.

Bottle. Clear gold with little head. Aroma is slightly vegetably hops with a fruity hint. Light body with medium carbonation. Flavour is thin and watery with a fruity start combined with a somewhat artificial candy sweetness. There is some botterness in the finish but it is rather unpleasantly metallic. Overall disappointing.

Pours amber with a large but quickly fading head.Nose shows light noble hops with spicy and grassy notes. Faint banana shows initially but quickly fades. Biscuity, slightly toasty Munich malt is noticeable, but a slightly disagreeable sweet vegetable note is also present.More biscuity malt as a flavour and, unfortunately, more of the sweet vegetable note. Spicy hops just detectable.Carbonation is too high, body too light.

Bottle, 4.7% ABV. Orange, off white head fades to a coat. Nose has biscuity malt and a little grass and resin. Taste is mildly sweet with a slightly bitter finish. A little metallic. A pleasant enough made-for-gulping beer.
