750 c&c from The Davis Beer Shoppe. Pours very dark brown/black with a dark tan head. Aroma of red berries, red wine, chocolate. Oak? Suggests tart/sour. Med + body. Flavor is very red berry, with chocolate, oak, and itβs certainly tart/sour. It finishes smoothly tart sour with a little dark chocolate, red wine and wood being most noticeable. Some earthiness is also coming out, and that might be hop. Quite tasty.

Tap at Copenhagen Beer Celebration 2013 - Session 1. Pours clearish, red-brown with a creamy head. Tangy dark berry nose. Light to medium sweet flavor with leather, dry fruits, light dirt, moderate funk. Light to medium bodied with average carbonation. Clean finish with some barrel and further leathery dark fruits. Great beer overall. Another winner from Anchorage.

Draught @ CBC2013. Pours hazy brownish black with a frothy dirt brown head that slowly dissipates while leaving a small trace on the glass. Smell is sour and spicy with pumpernickel bread, lemon juice, red wine vinegar, barnyard, roasted grains, burnt wood, allspice, black pepper corns, moist soil, lemon juice and hints of acetic acid. Taste is sour with roasted malts, burnt wood, lemon juice, hay, red wine vinegar, barnyard, moist soil, dried dark fruits, pine needles, allspice, cloves and black pepper corns. Mouthfeel is round, tart, slightly dry and medium bodied. Finish is sour and tart with roasted malts, burnt wood, red wine vinegar, moist soil, lemon zest and hints of acetic acid and lemon juice. Solid sour but less than I expected...
