33cl bottle at home in the early hours of 20th Nov 2015. Poured twice into one of my old Schlossbrau stemmed glasses. Mini-haze to the pale old gold coloured body, the head a thin and weak white wisp on each pour. The nose is yeasty and citrus like in aroma, as is the taste. Highly carbonated, it is almost ’fizzy’ in nature. Refreshing and thirst quenching: a summers day drink in a beer garden sort of beer. I actually liked it, just wrong beer in the wrong place in the wrong season.

Draught@Bruch’s No 1, Saarbrücken. Hazy yellow colour, mediumsized white head. Aroma is herbal, mild spelt and wheat like notes as well as some yeasty and earthy notes. Flavour is earthy, herbal grassy, grainy and a bit bready malts to it. Very refreshing on a hot day.

Draught @ Bruch’s No.1, Saarbrücken. Aroma has mild mint tones, citrus and some malt. Flavour has citrus, some sweet malty tones and mint. Straightforward, a bit thin and surprisingly high on mint.

Tap @ bar in Saarbrücken. Hazy yellow with a white head. Aroma is sweet, malty, light buttery and light hoppy - straw. Flavor is medium sweet and moderate bitter. Dry and moderate bitter finish. 210714

(Bottle, 0.33 l - BB 12.05.14, courtesy of rosenbergh, 20140315) The beer poured golden and clear. Its head was small and white. Aroma had grass, straw and sweetness. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were sweetness, grass, straw, malts and bitterness. Afteraste was sweet and bitter. Not really a bad brew but both the aroma and the taste were very mild.

Bottle 0.33l at Helsinki. Thanks to Rosenbergh. BBE 12.05.24. Colour is clear golden with small white head. Aromas and flavours: Grain, sweetness and malts. Quite useless.

Rating from 2009: Im Internet findet sich nach einigem Suchen: « „Seitze Gaade“. Ein Biergarten in Pirmasens, den Jakob Seitz 1888 gründete und nun von seinem Urenkel Robert Seitz, dem ehemaligen Vorstand der Parkbrauerei, in Pirmasens wiedereröffnet wurde. Hier fließt das neue Bier „Jaköbsche“ – ein Original-Rezept des Urgroßvaters. Gebraut wird in Saarbrücken – bei der Brauerei G.A. Bruch.» Hatte ich mir schon wegen dem typischen Bruch Etiketten-Design gedacht. Schöne dunkele goldgelbe Farbe mit schöner Trübung. Der Geruch ist frisch-mild und leicht hopfenblumig. Der Antrunk ist frisch, angenehm mild und würzig. Zum Hauptteil wird das Bier angenehm herb-süffig mit leicht süßlichem Enschlag und eine leicht muffigen, aber nicht negativ auffallenden Herbe. Der Nachgeschmack ist mittellang anhaltend, schön hefig-mild und würzig-herb. --> Leckeres, aber für meinen Geschmack etwas zu muffig-würziges Kellerbier! --> Noten: 12,9,12,8,12,9 - 9,75

Bottle 500ml.Clear light medium yellow colour with a large, frothy, good lacing, fully lasting, white to off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, grain, pale malt, moderate hoppy, grass, fruity hops, dry grass. Flavour is moderate to light light heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, grassy, fruity, malty, hoppy, fresh and chrispy. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20130113]
