15-09-18 // bottle shared, bought at Biratenu Jerusalem. Dark brown. Beige foamy head. Nelson fruit aromas in the nose on top of a mild roast note. Light Black IPA with slightly watery body. Roasted malts, coffee, caramel sweetness. Minimal fruity hop. More hop bitterness in the end. Gets better warming up. --- Beer merged from original tick of Nelson on 15 Sep 2018 at 12:53 - Score: 7. Bottle [from Euro Swap autumn 2017, thanks to Tomer] @ home. Hazy almost opaque dark brown to black color, full sized beige to light brown colored head that lasts for a decent while. Aroma is malts, hops, grapefruity a bit. Taste malts, hops, super ripe grapefruit again, then roasted malts, malt bitter, grapefruit bitter. Medium body and carbonation. Quite good black IPA and only 5.5% ABV, well, I didn't expect that. Very nice!

Bottle courtesy of DSG. Thanks, Barak. Black with a lasting light brown head. Aroma is sweet, malty, roasted malt and moderate hoppy - pine. Flavor is medium sweet and rather bitter. Dry and rather bitter finish. 140617

Trevlig.

Bottle at a tasting. Quite good beer, relatively clean, though it is apparently slightly too old by now. High carbonation, medium-thin body. Only light roastiness and the rest of the character centers on hops, grassy, zesty, resiny. Only thing it lacks is intensity of hoppy character. Otherwise good.

Draught sample at JCBF, smallish bubbly head, dark brown color, light mellow piney shrubby aroma with some dark bread behind, coal and coffee flavor with a piney hint and medium strong shrubby bitterness. Not too complex But nice and drinkable.

Draught sample at JCBF November 2016 in Jerusalem. Dark brown with a beige head. Nice hoppy aroma, piney, fruity, "green", with light roast and chocolate. Flavor is quite dry with a very faint sweetish chocolate hint, some roast, and nice bitter piney, fruity, and "green" hops, kinda juicy. Medium-bodied. A good one.
