Cask at the Cambridge Blue. Dark gold, with a loose white head. A lot of lacing on this puppy. Tropical and citrus fruits in the aroma, underpinned by a cheeky biscuity malt. Soft bittersweet in the taste. A notable hit of sulphur. Clean refreshing finish with a long wave of bitterness. Cantaloupe and vanilla notes in the aftertaste. Impressive. Best beer of the night.

Cask @ Dirty Dicks, Halifax. Deeper golden ale with a small creamy head. Has a sugary berry-sweet nose, and its strength subdues flavours to an extent, although it’s still a very palatable ale with a noticeable bitterness.
