The use of a unique malt combination gives a distinct red hue and a rich malt base complemented by a clean aroma and a robust hop bitterness.

Cask at the Wrong Un' JDW, Bexleyheath. Dark amber pour with a white head. Nose of toffee, sweet malt, red berries. Flavours of cherry, more toffee, shortbread, bags of malt. Went down well this one.

Cask at Baxter's Court, JDW - Hackney. Pours clear gold with a frothy, off-white head. Bready malts in the nose, some lightly toasted grains, hints of citrus. Light sweet flavour with mild leafy hops, more sun-kissed grains, orange peel. Light bodied with fine carbonation room; good condition. Alright balance in the finish, with further crispy pale bread, some English yeast, mellow leaves, grass, citrus rind. Not bad on the whole.

Cask at Central Line Red at The George Croydon, although is probably an alias for autumn red... It pours clear deep amber with a decent off-white head. The aroma is sweet, caramel, toffee, sugary, red kola, red berry, biscuit and earth. The taste is drying, bitter, earthy, wood, twig, leathery, tannin, chewy malt, bit dusty and red berry skin with a drying, sort of tannic finish. Light - medium body and soft carbonation. Some OK elements to it, but it's a bit drying and astringent after a bit. Wouldn't want to chug a pint.
