Cask-conditioned at the Commercial Rooms (JDW), Bristol, 4 October 2022.Deep amber in colour, with a moderately-sized, off-white, head. Hedgerow hops, sweet red berries, some chewy digestive malts, touch of caramel and gently bitter finish. Ok.

Cask at Picture House, Stafford. Pours a cloudy reddish brown with a small foamy cream head. Not much of an aroma – just some vague berry fruits. Fruits and berries more to the fore in the mouthwith hints of cherries also and an underlying biscuit base. Later on some toffee comes into the equation. Can really say anything more than “drinkable” due to it having come from the “Spoons chiller” – needs a rerate really.

Pours a dark amber colour with a reddish tint and an average sized lasting creamy head. A subtle aroma, toffee apple, sweet malts and red berries. A moderately sweet taste, sweet biscuity malts, toffee and red fruit flavours with a smooth sweetish malty finish. Not much bitterness.
