330ml bottle. Dark brown colour with small to average, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, beige head. Roasty dark malty and slightly fruity, minimally metallic, hoppy aroma, hints of (thin) coffee. Taste is bitter hoppy and bitter roasty dark malty, notes of coffee, coffee beans, a minimally metallic touch. Nice interplay of hoppy and roasty bitterness, overall a bit light and sadly with that metallic interference.

0.33 l bottle from 'Biermuda', best before July 2018. Clear, very dark ruby to black with a medium large, foamy, stable, beige head. Sweetish, fruity-resiny and slightly roasty-malty aroma of tropical fruits, blueberry, pine and a touch of chocolate. Moderately sweet, slightly bitter, moderately roasty-malty and rather fruity-resiny taste of tropical fruits, pine, blueberry, licorice and toasted nuts, followed by a short, moderately bitter, rather resiny and slightly roasty finish. Medium body, smooth and slightly effervescent mouthfeel, average carbonation. Nice Black IPL, very hoppy, the malts are hardly noticeable.

bottle from Heinrichs 3000 Kornwestheim. Dark brown colour, fluffy beige head. Fruity nose. Dark chocolate and coffe combinded with fruity flavours, not as harmonic as in some Black IPAs, nevertheless a good one.

Bottle (Dank nach Säckingen...äh Konstanz!): Deep amber, a bit unclear - presumably, medium-sized and slowly collapsing tanned head; mild to moderate dryish toasty-caramelly and green-hoppy nose with fruity traces; moderate bitter flavour, a malty sweetness is hardly detectable, pretty soft; lingering bitter fruity-hoppy finish. Well crafted, but IMHO not very harmonic...

Bottle looks good. Beer in the glass deep black, nice head. Starts fine malty, light roasty, not too dry. More and more hoppy notes, hints of lemon. All in all well balanced. Quite drinkable. Nice one!
