Bottle from Bierzauberei. Dark red/brown hazy body with massive, frothy, bubbly, slightly beige head, that leaves a lot of lacing. Aroma of citrus, tropical fruits and roasted malt, even with some dark chocolate notes. Taste is more malty than fruity, with roasty coffee and again some chocolate notes, citrus, tropical fruits and a strong bitterness from end to end. Pretty thin mouthfeel, with a lively carbonation and a bitter, roasty and citric finish. Overall really not bad, but slightly unharmonic, somewhere between an IPA and a Black IPA, the nose is interesting, but the taste is a bit too much dominated by the bitterness and the mouthfeel is a bit too thin for my liking. But still an unique and interesting brew.

500ml bottle [as Matador SBA, 7.8% abv]. Hazy brown colour with very huge, frothy to creamy, lasting, minimally lacing, beige head. Herbal, minimally grassy, hoppy aroma. Taste is moderately bitter, minimally citrusy and grassy hoppy with underlying minimally roasty caramel malt notes with a nuttily touch. Nice.
