330ml bottle. Cloudy, dark amber colour with late awakening, small, creamy, fading, white head. Sweet-ish, caramel malty and estery aroma, hints of candied fruit, apple, resin. taste is sweet, caramel malty, slightly fruity, hints of dried fruit, candied fruit, raisin, apple, some alcohol, a muesli touch overall. Not really convincing.

Too sweet for a Biere de garde

On tap at The Castle, pours a hazy amber with a small white head. Aroma is quite sweet and estery, with lots of alcohol, candied sugar, bubblegum esters, and red fruits. Flavour is very sweet, with red fruits, candied sugar, esters, and plenty of alcohol. Totally inauthentic, lacking the character of a proper bire de garde, but it's still pleasant enough for what it is.
